ICICI Bank Basic Savings Bank Account is a 'Zero Balance Saving Account' which doesn't require keeping any minimum monthly average balance. It was introduced by the bank for the beginners with the sole purpose of getting them familiar with financial handlings and to develop a habit of saving money. The interest rate comes with it is 4% which is payable on a six-month basis. It offers ICICI Bank Debit Card. Some of the facilities include passbook, online banking, chequebook etc.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • It is only applicable for Indian Citizens
  • The applicant must be 18 years or above at the time of filling the form
  • NRIs are also not eligible along with Hindu Undivided Family Kartas.
Features:
  • The first five transactions made from any ATM across India are free of cost. This includes both financial and non-financial transactions.
  • Only one chequebook is provided free
  • The first four cash transactions made from the bank of any branch in the city is free.
  • The base branches allow unlimited cash withdrawal and deposit
  • The Debit Card doesn't charge any additional amount
  • One can withdraw Rs 10,000 daily from the Debit Card, and the spending limit is also set to Rs 10,000 daily from the same
Fees and Additional Charges:
  • There are no cash deposit charges for transactions done from the base branch. Rs 90 is chargeable for transaction done from a non-base branch
  • At base branches, the first four cash withdrawals are free. After that, Rs 90 is charged per transaction.
  • The first five ATM Transactions are free from both ICICI and non-ICICI ATMs. After that, for financial transactions, Rs 20 is charged, and for non-financial transactions, Rs 8.50 is charged.
  • Rs 20 for additional chequebook is charged.
  • The cheque drawn from a non-base branch would cost;
    • Rs 25 per instrument, if the cheque value costs up to Rs 5000
    • RS 50 per instrument, if the cheque value costs between Rs 5001 to Rs 10,000
    • Rs 100 per instrument, if the cheque value costs between Rs 10,001 to Rs 100,000
    • Rs 200 per instrument, if the cheque value costs above Rs 100,000
