  2. Individuals can avail these loans for their children’s education, marriage, purchase of a new property or even aim for a business expansion. The loan amount should be at least Rs 2 lakhs that can be availed for a maximum period of 15 years. The disbursement of the loan is allowed in equated monthly instalments on a monthly basis.

    The property submitted against the loan acts as security. It should be a residential property with age not more than 35 years. One also has to provide a demand promissory note as security. A fee of 1% applies to the total loan, plus tax. This scheme is however, available only for the Indian residents.

  3. Loan against properties for listed or non-listed companies

Listed or non-listed companies can avail these loans keeping their commercial property like office premises as security. These loans can be used to repay existing loans or purchase fixed assets for the benefit of the company. These properties should be complete in all respects in order to avail the loans. The credit is allowed for a maximum period of 10 years.

  • Self-employed individuals should also submit proof of their education like a qualification certificate, income tax return of past three years along with computation of income, profit and loss account and balance sheet of last three years certified by a professional CA.
