Kerala Gramin Bank (KGB) is the largest Regional Rural Bank (RRB) in India, which was established in July 2013 and has a strong presence in all 14 districts of Kerala. It was formed under the Regional Rural Bank Act, 1976, as specified under the guidelines of Sub-Section (1) of Section 3 of the Act. The amalgamation of RRBs such as North Malabar Gramin Bank and the South Malabar Gramin Bank of Kerala paved way for the existence of Kerala Gramin Bank. It currently has a network of 565 branches and is the only Regional Rural Bank in Kerala.
