Like every other bank in India, IndusInd Bank bank uses IFSC code for online fund transfer from a bank account to another. An IFSC code makes sure that no confusion or errors arise when a person transfer funds. It helps in processing the funds faster, thus saving time. The IFSC code with 11 characters, the alphanumeric code is unique for each bank branch.
The first 4 characters in the code are alphabets that denote the bank name. Zero is the 5th character, kept for future use. 6 characters at the end are usually numeric, which represent the bank branch.
To get bank IFSC code, one can visit the Loanbaba.com’s IFSC code tool locator. Just select the bank name, state, and branch, and the IFSC code along with the branch’s full address, will show up. One can also get a list of all IFSC codes for the banks on RBI’s official website. On the other hand, a particular bank’s website will also show the IFSC codes of its respective branches.
